At Dig Audio, our goal is to help you stop listening to music and start living it.

In pursuit of this goal, we’ve found that less is more. Way more.

We’ve designed a stereo speaker system that’s been reverse-engineered  to work directly with your internal sound system – tailored not to a set of measurements and graphs but to your anatomical and neurological wiring – in order to present music in the most lifelike, “live” way possible.

Would you rather listen to Curtis Mayfield, Live at the Bitter End, 1971, or have Curtis in your living room tonight?

Because we may all be gone tomorrow, we named our speakers HEAR TODAY.  There is no time like today to start living the music you love!

The Experience

“There is a solid demarcation line in my life when it comes to enjoying music. On one side of the line is my life before Doug’s speakers, and the other side is my life after these magical speakers entered my world. The act of listening to music has been altered for me; I would often let music fade into the background and accompany other activities. Music was more of a passive endeavor in my life.

When the speakers were set up, suddenly playing LPs became a priority. An experience unto itself. Listening to music was like watching a movie; it rewarded my full attention, and the dividends were endless. There are albums that I have heard hundreds of times, but I started to hear textures and instruments that had been lost to the conventional stereo experience. I could feel the room that the music was recorded in, the feel of a finger on a bass string, the spacing of a drum kit. Music became magical again! I cannot overemphasize how much I love these speakers because they have returned me to a place where music was nothing but mystery and beauty.”

The show’s slogan is “three hours of mirth, music, and mayhem.”)

“An experience beyond listening, it felt like I was in the room with the musicians. Nuances were revealed I hadn’t heard before or had forgotten about even on my own album… brought me back to the professional studio sound I hadn’t heard since.”

The Experience

“Dig Audio has designed and built a full range speaker system with quality components, zero crossover, all housed in a cabinet at perfect height to give your ears a warm hug on your couch.  In a growing market of speakers laden with highly customizable features and digital circuitry, there is something comforting considering the exact opposite. With simplicity at its core, this pair of speakers delivers a stereo image more accurate than many high end 2-way designs you will come across. If you are looking for a pair of handmade speakers for your home, listening room, and beyond, these are highly worth a consideration in your setup. Their efficient drivers make for wonderful results at both quiet and louder SPL. A great amp (of even minimal wattage) and DAC of significant quality will only sweeten your experience. And Doug, the man behind the speaker, an absolute gem of a human…it’s imperative you find a way to have him hand deliver them!”
